Hannah Dominique E. John Kamen was born in England. She played Dutch in the Syfy series Killjoys as well as Ornela on HBO's Game of Thrones. Her other roles include F'Nale in Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One and Ghost in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Hannah is the smallest of three children born to a Nigerian scientific forensics father as well as a Norwegian fashion designer mother in Beverley. Hannah was a student at Kirk Ella Primary School and Hull Collegiate School for her secondary education. Hannah also completed her training in London's National Youth Theatre. In 2012 she graduated with a degree from Central School of Speech and Drama. John-Kamen started her professional journey in 2011. She provided the voice for Dark Souls. She then appeared on the TV series Misfits (2011, Black Mirror, 2011.), Whitechapel, 2012, The Syndicate and The Hour. John-Kamen landed Viva as the principal character in Viva Forever which was a West End musical based upon the Spice Girls' songs. Viva Forever, written by Jennifer Saunders with production by Judy Craymer premiered at Piccadilly Theatre on 11 December 2012. The reviews were largely not favorable. The Daily Mirror praised John Kamens' acting. The Daily Mirror stated, "It's a pity that an ensemble of talented actors - specifically Hannah John Kamens' Viva and Eternity - are letdown with a predictable narrative and leaden dialect." The show closed down on June 29, 2013. In 2015, John-Kamen land a starring role on SyFy's Killjoys. John-Kamen appeared as a guest for HBO Game of Thrones. She appeared in the episode "Playtest" of the Black Mirror anthology show. The second season of The Tunnel, a UK show The Tunnel she also appeared. She was the Ghost in the superhero movie Ant-Man and the Wasp.
