Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman who is a businesswoman. she is currently president as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is an California born and raised in a wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman in real estate who became owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened as her parents divorced in 1972. In the year 19 she became the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. In the future, she established her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. In the beginning, she was vice-president for the Lakers prior to taking over the position of president of Great Western Forum. Buss her father passed away in 2013 which is when the Lakers were passed down by her as well as five of her siblings via a trust. Each sibling had an equal number of votes. Buss assumed the position of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based in Los Angeles.
